Weekly TBR- March 1st

Happy March!

How is it March already! This is absolute madness! I hope that you are all well and safe! I Thought I would kick March off with a little weekly TBR for the first week in March! I have some really exciting things coming up in March so keep your eyes peeled!

Something like Happy by Sasha Greene

Jade is just trying to get by. She doesn’t want to talk about it. She doesn’t want a fuss.

But one day she meets Nick and everything changes.

Out of the most difficult of situations, Nick and Jade’s friendship grows into something both of them never knew they needed.

Jade used to be sure that she was better off alone. But could it be that together, with Nick by her side, she can start to feel something like happy again?

Pre-Read thoughts:

  • The cover to this book is just gorgeous!
  • Has not got the best reviews of good reads but I cannot wait to give it a read

Find Me by André Aciman

No novel in recent memory has spoken more movingly to contemporary readers about the nature of love than André Aciman’s haunting Call Me by Your Name. First published in 2007, it was hailed as “a love letter, an invocation . . . an exceptionally beautiful book” (Stacey D’Erasmo, The New York Times Book Review). Nearly three quarters of a million copies have been sold, and the book became a much-loved, Academy Award–winning film starring Timothée Chalamet as the young Elio and Armie Hammer as Oliver, the graduate student with whom he falls in love.

In Find Me, Aciman shows us Elio’s father, Samuel, on a trip from Florence to Rome to visit Elio, who has become a gifted classical pianist. A chance encounter on the train with a beautiful young woman upends Sami’s plans and changes his life forever.

Elio soon moves to Paris, where he, too, has a consequential affair, while Oliver, now a New England college professor with a family, suddenly finds himself contemplating a return trip across the Atlantic.

Pre-Read thoughts:

  • Again has not got the best reviews of goodreads
  • Wonder if I will enjoy it as much as the first Call Me By Your Name
  • Seems like I have to focused to read it

Have you read any of these? What are you reading this week?

Love Always,

Gee xoxo

  1. These sounds like lovely stories, I wonder if they’ll live up to the bad reviews or be really good? I haven’t decided what I’m going to read this week as I just finished a book last night but I have a whole selection on my TBR to choose from!
